Backing up your existing saves

This option file won't overwrite your game saves, but if want to be extra safe then copy them to a USB stick and use xtaf to transfer them to your PC before putting my option file on.

How to keep your own kit logos and stadiums

Chances are something you’ve created on top of my version 1 file will be overwritten when you apply this update, however, there is a way you can keep created kit logos, competition logos and stadiums. If I’ve used the same slot as you have, then follow these instructions to keep your edited designs.

The most straightforward way is to simply not copy across my files which conflict with slots you have used. One side effect is that elements of my file will not appear correctly (wrong kit logo on shirts, stadium assignment wrong).

To import my files and keep your existing designs –

Kit Logos

Go into Edit mode and edit team. Select the team you want to keep the kit logo data of and go into Strip Design and then Kit Markings. Select Chest Logo and then Free Draw. This will load up Pixel Paint. Once in Pixel Paint, select Image and Chest Logo. Find the design you want to keep and select it, you should see the design on the work area. Press Y to bring up the colour palette and choose a perfect (256,256,256,256) white and press A.
Press B and go to save the design. Choose a slot which isn’t used by my file and press A to save your work.

Competition Logos

Go into Edit mode and League / Cup. Choose the competition and edit the emblem. Choose draw from scratch. Once in Pixel Paint, select Image from the left hand menu and choose Emblem. Pick the design you want to keep and press Y to bring up the colour palette. Choose a perfect white and press X to import the image. Press B and go to save the logo, and choose a slot which isn’t used by my file.

Stadiums

Go into Edit mode and Stadium. Go into stadium creator and choose Import. Select the stadium you want to keep. Once loaded, choose Export and save to a slot not used by my file.
